臺大經濟系網頁英文介紹 照抄布朗大學「漏改被抓包」

PTT臺大板（NTU）日前有網友爆料，指臺大經濟系網頁的英文版科系介紹，竟然抄襲美國布朗大學電腦科學系，除了把開頭的科系名稱改掉，其餘完全一模一樣，甚至連「…布朗大學校園」（…Brown campus）的字眼都漏掉沒改，糗被抓包，趕緊將這用了多年的烏龍簡介更新。
據指出，臺大經濟系網站英文版的科系介紹之前寫，「Econ department of NTU is a friendly, collegial department. Our undergraduate and graduate programs emphasize scholarship and research. Our research grounds theory in practice and draws vitality from interdisciplinary collaboration. Our active and close-knit community is supported by a state-of-the-art facility in the pleasant setting of the Brown campus.」與位於美國羅德島的布朗大學電腦科學系之介紹幾乎一致，只有開頭的「Econ department of NTU」與原文的「Brown Computer Science」不同。
這一顯然的抄襲在PTT傳開後，網友紛紛在推文表示，「抄成這樣 頗ㄏ」、「這也能抄.....」、「丟臉死了」、「有夠 丟臉」，有人指出，「臺大這麼做跟第三世界的學店差不多。原始碼最後一行還有版權宣告 COPYRIGHT (17 U.S.C.. 光是那一行被spider爬到，布朗就能和臺大求償，鬧出國際大笑話。」
