平均每天都有槍擊案！ 歐巴馬擬頒行政命令管制槍枝

歐巴馬將在2016年的開端管制槍枝！美國的槍支問題多年來爭議不斷，據傳總統歐巴馬將在下週運用行政命令，加強對購買槍枝者的背景審查，降低恐怖份子取得槍枝的機率。他也呼籲國會要有所作爲，來保護下一代免遭槍枝暴力。
據《華盛頓郵報》指出，歐巴馬將在4日與司法部長李奇(Loretta E. Lynch)會面，來討論這個控管槍枝的行政命令。一名匿名的相關人士表示，歐巴馬會加強對購買槍枝者的背景審查，而這個行政命令還涵蓋其他相關內容，其他細節則尚未確定。
歐巴馬1日在每週例行的視訊演說中指出，因國會一直未能有效控管槍枝，使得問題越來越嚴重，因此他將自行採取行動，幾個月前他和白宮的團隊就開始研究如何能夠減少槍枝暴力情形，因爲自己收到太多民衆爲槍擊事件哀悼的信，包括老師、父母、孩子，大家都深信憲法第二條修正案的「所有公民都擁有有攜帶武器的權利」，但同時也應避免讓不負責任的少數危險人物造成大規模傷亡，「我需要你們的幫助來保護下一代的孩子們。」根據《紐約時報》報導，2015年以來美國至少發生354起槍枝濫殺的意外，平均每天都有槍擊案發生，而日前在加州發生的槍擊案則讓大家再度關注美國這個議題，儘管政府一直想透過立法加強槍枝的管制，但類似事件仍層出不窮。
